Why is Geolocation important to the event?
The locating service means that whether you are familiar with the area or not, you can help the Ops Centre to the right place straight away. This takes the stress away from you so you can focus on the situation at hand.
Security, ambulances and the event crew often lose precious minutes getting to the exact location if there are two areas with similar names or you are on a main road tens of kilometers long. Geolocation send the closest persons straight to the right spot, every time.
It's super easy for you to use, as long as your phone has Geolocation turned on and you have 1 level of reception, you don’t have to do anything else.
It keeps the Ops Centre updated in real time, so you can be either stationary or be moving around depending on what the Blert needs.
Drop a pin for pin point accuracy
Being able to move the pin on your map can increase the accuracy for the event or emergency services team. If the location isn’t exactly where it needs to be or you are not right by the accident/ incident etc. moving the pin can get as specific as choosing the right side of the road.
Dropping a pin is supported in mobile versions of Blerter.
Ensure you have created a new or are in an existing Blert.
In ‘Event & Locations’ box tap the pin icon on the right hand side to open Maps.
You can zoom in and zoom out by using the pinch gesture on your screen
Tap and hold a location on the map to drop a pin on the map.
Feel free to add free text in the ‘Describe your location’ section.
