Why is Geolocation important to the event?

Blerter uses Geolocation Services to help the event Ops Centre quickly locate and add a meaningful location to the situation your are Blerting about. This takes the stress away from you so you can focus on the situation at hand. Geolocation sends the closest person straight to the right spot, every time.

It keeps the Ops Centre updated in real time, so you can be either stationary or be moving around depending on what the Blert needs.

It's super easy for you to use, as long as your phone has Geolocation turned on and you have 1 level of reception - you don’t have to do anything else.

Is Geolocation safe?

The event organisers can only use your phones Geolocation while you are attached to their event in Blerter. This means that if you are not in the events radius and checked into the event then they can’t access where you are.

Staying safe online is crucial and at Blerter we like to be transparent with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and GDPR regulations which can be viewed anytime. If you have concerns, Blerters Geolocation can be disabled after each event by following the same enabling instruction but choosing ‘Never’ for iOS and ‘Off’ for Android.

Enable Geolocation on Desktop.

Enable Geolocation on Mobile.
